Position Overview:

The person in this position will lead the Quality Control team, responsible for overseeing all quality control aspects of raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and analysis services. This role includes setting quality standards and ensuring compliance.

Your Role:

• Manage and motivate a team of laboratory analysts to uphold safety and quality standards.
• Oversee QC testing of raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with company standards, including Gage R&R.
• Manage analytical functions, including analysis, maintenance, scheduling, and data management.
• Track KPIs and prepare reports related to laboratory performance.
• Develop a flexible organization to adapt to changes in manufacturing priorities with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams daily to meet scheduling demands and resolve out-of-specification issues.
• Develop and manage laboratory metrics, such as daily releases and instrument utilization.
• Compile and analyze data to assess process efficiency and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Consult with the analytical community to implement best practices and validate methods.
• Promote clear communication within the team and across departments.
• Lead complaint (VoC) and incident investigations, preparing detailed reports on findings.
• Provide technical expertise for decisions on the release of raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare and respond to customer and internal audit checklists and findings.
• Review QC data and approve all quality control documents before release.
• Supervise staff and oversee production procedures to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Conduct investigations to identify causes of defects or problems in products or processes.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in an analytical laboratory.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, IC, ICP-MS, and UV/Vis.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry, particularly in dealing with customer audits and complaints.
• Ability to carry out team and self-directed continuous improvement or research projects.
• Proficient computer skills (scientific instrument software, Word, Excel).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working in a union environment.
• Familiarity with SAP and LIMS (Laboratory information management system: 실험실 정보 관리 시스템) is a plus.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Proficient in English.
