Overview:
SAP HANA is an in-memory database and data management platform. HANA Development Team Seoul has been leading the SAP HANA innovations since the inception of SAP HANA. ( https://www.sap.com/korea/about/labs-korea.html) Now we are seeking a skilled Performance Engineer and Test Specialist who can contribute on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our HANA core features and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud performance analysis, optimization, and test engineering. This position involves close collaboration with development teams, driving performance benchmarks, and leveraging AI tools to enhance testing processes.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with HANA database core development teams to ensure project success by performance analysis and optimization
- Develop and maintain performance benchmark of HANA features across diverse cloud environments, offering various levels of insight
- Innovate AI-driven testing approaches, methodologies, and frameworks, and performance analysis tools
Expectations :
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential
- Ability to understand enterprise database architectures concerning scalability, large data volumes, and performance
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and self-development, staying abreast of new technologies and methodologies
- Proficiency in English communication; fluency is advantageous
Required skills/talents:
- Any proven experience in software development, performance engineering, or test engineering
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, and SQL.
- Familiarity with Linux, the primary development environment
- Experience with SQL-based databases, Cloud, genAI is preferred
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. is a plus)
