Field Service Engineer (Entry-Level/학사신입) – ALD / EPI
Location: Icheon, Korea (이천)
The Role
As a new graduate Field Service Engineer at ASM, you will join a global team of professionals working on state-of-the-art semiconductor equipment. In this role, you will receive structured training and mentorship while supporting the installation and maintenance of ASM's PEALD and ALD systems at customer sites. This is a great opportunity to begin your career in a high-tech, high-growth industry with strong development potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and setup of semiconductor equipment at customer fabs.
- Support senior engineers in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and basic tool performance checks.
- Complete on-the-job training in ASM system operation and customer support practices.
- Document service activities and provide internal updates.
- Learn and comply with cleanroom and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in semiconductor equipment and field service work.
- Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical systems or automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Korean, proficiency in English preferred.
- Willingness to work in cleanroom environments and travel occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or academic project related to semiconductor or automation systems.
- Hands-on mindset and motivation to learn in a fast-paced field environment.
