Having 2 roles as CDC and RDC,we build strong connections from dealersto suppliers throughout end to end supply chain and workclosely with our business partners in the brands and group functions as well as colleagues globally in the VolvoGroup. The Position: Head of Operations &Op erations Support We are looking for a values-drivenleader to head our Operations Team at Distribution Center (DC) Seoul . This position is a key leadershipposition responsible for the DC operations in Korea . We run an 2 storiesof 24 ,000 m2 warehouse facilitywith a workforce of office workers and industrial workers (team leadersand team members). You will be responsible for securing continuous improvementsin the operational output such as safety, quality, efficiency, lead times, and delivery precision. An equally importantresponsibility is to improve the way work is being performed and nurture theuse of Lean principles with a strong focus on developing people, processes, andthe working environment through an inclusive culture. Excellent interpersonalleadership skills, a personal drive to improve, and a solid ability tocooperate cross-functionally areessential to succeed in this role. You will be part of the SML DC S eoul Management Team and the regional safety network. Thisrole will be reporting to the Head of DC S eoul . Main Activitiesand Responsibilities · Accountabilityand optimization of performance for the DC operational processes (unloading, sorting, pre-packing , checking, put-away, stock-taking, picking, packing, loading, quality checking,discrepancy detection and investigation, inventory management, handling return s & buyback s , etc.) · DriveOperational Excellence through the effective implementation and application oflean principles reflected in the Volvo Performance System (VPS) methodology · Responsiblefor healthy employee relations at the warehouse and develop relationshiptowards better employee engagement · Securea safe & healthy working environment for all employees and personnelsworking in the warehouse. · Develop,recommend, and implement improvements in the internal & external materials handling and administrative processes toimprove quality, customer service, lead-time, productivity, and cost-efficiency · Adapt and implement Lead DC SML standards on warehouseengineering and process.
