The role
The Renewable Energy team is responsible for Rystad Energy’s research and analyses of solar, wind, storage sectors. We are seeking an independent, self-driven and well-organized individual with a good analytical mindset and communication skills to support our renewable & power research in East Asia. This position is based at our Seoul office.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve existing asset-level data with focus on recent renewables, BESS and data center projects
- Develop and execute plan to collect/process asset-level data (capacity, ownership, cost, development status, location, revenue model) under guidance of senior analysts
- Identify, access and interpret official/government source of information to support research workflow including energy policy, project updates, auction and investment
- Contribute data, visual and content to analytics including country report and commentary
- Additional tasks may be assigned by Team Manager and Analysts.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or post-graduate student pursuing degree in economics, energy systems, engineering, finance, computer science or other relevant majors.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, and programming skills such as Python, SQL, and Power BI
- Experience related to renewable energy will be an added advantage.
- Able to commit for a minimum of 3 months
- Native speaking Korean
