RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as the official representative of the Airline at the airport, building effective cooperation with aviation authorities, border control, customs, and other state, public, and private organizations to ensure smooth flight operations and compliance with all required procedures, documentation, and licensing.
• Ensure seamless and timely passenger, baggage, hand luggage, and excess baggage check-in, strictly in line with the Airline’s Rules of Carriage.
• Oversee the execution and quality of contracts and agreements between the Airline, the airport, and third-party partners.
• Monitor and coordinate the daily schedule of airline departures and arrivals.
• Direct and supervise all ground handling services to guarantee efficient, safe, and on-time flight support for Air Astana JSC.
• Provide timely operational updates to the control and load planning center.
• Manage and adjust loading/unloading documentation, including consolidated load sheets and aircraft weight & balance data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Implement the Airline’s safety and quality reporting systems for ground and in-flight incidents and hazards.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise the team, ensuring high performance, operational discipline, and on-time task completion.
• Coordinate ground handling operations with related departments for maximum efficiency.
• Take prompt action in emergencies to safeguard the health and safety of personnel, including organizing first aid where required.
• Handle operational challenges and resolve passenger complaints quickly and effectively.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting from the ground handling department to relevant internal units.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Higher education degree.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in passenger and aircraft ground handling.
• Proven managerial experience.
• Fluency in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
• Strong knowledge of ground service procedures, technologies, and systems.
• Demonstrated skills in team leadership, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
