A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Quality Engineer at MKS Korea, you will partner with Internal Teams to be covering QC. In this role, you will report to the Quality Assurance Team Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products.
Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary.
Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.
Improvement process capability (Cpk, Ppk) in order to maintain stable productivity (CTQ/SPC items)
Provides expert knowledge regarding quality tools and methods (such as FMEA, RCA, Control Chart) to help to ensure the quality of manufactured products
Leads internal and external audit
May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as ISO regulations.
Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
Ensures finished products conform to customer and company standards.
Analyzes and monitor customer returns and failure data to assess out of box quality, warranty incident return rate, QPPM, and annual failure rate (AFR) for PSA products. Also, drive corrective and preventive actions where needed on failure trend.
Frequently interacts with customers and/or suppliers, normally involving matters to handle quality issues and the voice of customer on quality related issues and complaints. Drive customer satisfaction and deliver on customer commitments
Manages supplier's quality and SPC (Including PCN)
Provides quality training for supplier
Supports RCA and corrective action setup for Non-conformity issue
Assess training needs and assist in training delivery for employees
Skills that You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (ex. Electrical/Electronic or Industrial engineering) or other technical and 4 to 8 years of related experience including minimum 3 to 5 years in quality engineering or quality management and with related experience in following area:
Supporting new product development and fielded electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, ideally in the semiconductor capital equipment industry or other advanced markets.
Working directly with customers, establishing rapport, and representing the organization on quality related topics. Experience working with large OEM organizations is a plus.
Reviewing all phases and content of the CAPA process and leads the CAPA Review Board meeting.
Working directly with contract manufacturer’s and key suppliers to ensure all quality requirements are met.
Utilizing the use of various tools and techniques such as quality plans, statistical process control, process flows, FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis), DOE (design of experiments) throughout the organization.
Preferred Skills:
6 Sigma GB Cert. and knowledge of Minitab or Jump is preferred.
Be able to apply critical thinking in problem solving. Knowledge of product reliability engineering a plus.
ISO 9001:205 internal auditor or CAPA admin experience is a plus.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with peers and customers. This position requires regular interaction with U.S. based co-workers, therefore the ability to communicate effectively both in native language and in English is required.
Knowledge on RF technology and Standard e.g. ISO 9001:2005, IATF 16949, or CE.
