Who are we looking for?
- Development of Epoxy based material
- Development of Dual curing (Uv+thermal) Epoxy material
- Formulation of new material
- Scale up production of Epoxy based material
- Support of Set-up of QC step
- Support of production
- Registration of Raw material and Products
- Technical service of customer’s request (Qualified products)
What will you be doing?
- Lead development projects to meet customer specifications in order to win business
- Be the subject matter expert in chemistry, resins, additives, modifiers, fillers, etc.
- Work closely with marketing to understand product specification and voice of customer and translate into the product design
- Create product and technical data packages for customer qualification and product promotion
- Learn, enhance, and develop chemical and material testing methods for raw material and formulation selection
- Thoroughly understand our technology, products, strengths and weaknesses versus competitor offerings
- Document all findings and learnings in appropriate laboratory notebooks, databases and technical reports document findings and into appropriate lab books and databases for future reference
- Write invention disclosures and patent applications to protect intellectual property
- Supervise lab personnel as requested
- Work with Quality group to develop testing, metrology and conduct MSA/GRR related to newly developed products
- Responsible for making recommendations to Management on CAPEX projects to improve safety and product development capabilities
- Visit customers as needed
Who are You?
- Technical knowledge of polymer thermoset and photo/UV materials And Dual (Uv+thermal) used in electronics assembly: Epoxy, urethane, acrylic and silicone chemistries
- Innovation, development and application knowledge of adhesives, encapsulants and coatings
- Mature customer experience; able to conduct technology roadmap exchanges multinational Tier 1 and OEM customers
- Experience with the use, development and deployment of NPD tools: Stage-gate, 6 Sigma, project and portfolio management
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work across functional, regional and business units; excellent collaborator
- Market understanding of Camera, Display, Telecom, Computer, Sensor, Automotive, White Goods, Lighting and Aerospace electronics
What competencies will you need?
- 10+ yrs relevant industry experience
- Possess a PhD or Master's Degree in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or Polymer Science
- Demonstrated track record of serving customers through the deployment of technical expertise—New product introduction, technical service, application development
- Excellent English and Korean proficiency
- Knowledge in Thermal curing, UV curing of Epoxy and Formulation of Epoxy or Silicone-based products.
- Knowledge of Dual curing Dual (UV + thermal) of Epoxy
