Your Role:

Responsible for implementing and continuously improving for Chemical management programs and Environment management programs to achieve full compliance with all applicable laws & regulations and global EHS requirements.
Main role is chemical and environment management following local regulations (CCA, Safety Control of Dangerous Substance Act, KOSHA..,etc) and global standard.
Work collaboration with global stakeholder and local EHS staff in another site.

• Maintain and regular review the compliance of global standard and local chemical and environment regulations.
• Supporting the implementation and validation of Group EHS requirements.
• Compliance of Safety Control of Dangerous Substance Act (위험물안전관리법), Chemical Control Act (화학물질관리법), collaboration with RA team for Act on Registration, Evaluation, Etc of Chemical (화학물질의 등록 및 평가에 관한 법률) and Compliance of Clean Air Conservation Act (대기환경보전법), Waste Management Act (폐기물 관리법), Clean Water Conservation Act (물환경보전법)..,etc.
• Management and compliance of global standard and guidelines for chemical storage.
• Coordination for chemical and environment safety with operation team, logistic team, and others.
• Communication and collaboration with global team and local team for chemical management system and environment management system.
• Management of chemical and environment safety annual target, performance, KPI, safety committee.
• Management of air pollution measurement, and TMS monitoring for wastewater treatment system.
• Management of all environment license and permit, and also ISO14001 requirement.
• Development environment facility list for air/water emission and pollution prevention facility.
• Authority and global audit response relevant regulations.
• Preparation and submission of chemical annual report (Statistic survey, Emission survey of CCA and Distribution survey of Safety Control of Dangerous Substance Act) to the authorities.
• Development of plant chemical and environment safety management SOP/WI with referring to local regulation and Group EHS standard.
• Leading the emergency response related to chemical release and chemical ER drill.
• Supporting for development and management of PSM documents.
• Supporting construction safety management before starting operation.
• The role of environment engineer (환경기술인) following regulations.
• Supporting JSA, Machine Safety Analysis, general risk assessment..,etc within environment facility.

Who you are:

• Bachelor degree in Safety or Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• +3 years' experience on managing chemical compliance and/or programs in multinational companies.
• Good knowledge for chemical handling, storage (wastewater treatment facility related experience is preferred.)
• Mandatory: 대기환경기사 또는 대기환경산업기사 (Engineer Air Pollution Environmental or Industrial Engineer Air pollution Environmental)
• Preference: 위험물산업기사 or 위험물기능장 (Industrial Engineer Hazardous material) or 수질환경기사 또는 수질환경산업기사 (Engineer Water Pollution Environmental or Industrial Engineer Water Pollution Environmental), ISO14001 experience.
• Dangerous goods (DG)/hazardous substance management experience preferred.
• EHS compliance global and local audit response experience preferred.
• Excellent leadership, program, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
