Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience with "Big Data" technologies or concepts, such as analytics warehousing, data processing, data transformation, data governance, data migrations, ETL, ELT, SQL, NoSQL, performance or scalability optimizations, or batch versus streaming.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with performance optimization and operational management in a big data environment.
- Experience with Big Data technologies, including enterprise-level projects on public cloud platforms.
- Ability to develop and execute strategies and action plans, with a sense of responsibility for their implementation.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams as a data analytics subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks related to database migrations, data back ends and all aspects of the data lifecycle. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and solutions on Google Cloud. You will have technical, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Provide Google Cloud expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
- Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
- Lead prospecting and acquisition of new logos, creating and building customer relationships from scratch, and establishing as a trusted advisor on their technology and business decisions.
