Position Summary
SUNY Korea is seeking a talented new team leader to join the Research Support Team in the Research & Business Development Foundation. In this position, an employee performs a wide variety of duties related to managing research projects, handling research funds, preparing financial accounting ad hoc reports, and other finance and accounting-related tasks.
This is a one-year contract with the option of converting to permanent hire or extending the contract based on job performance and competency.
Responsibilities
- Project Management
: Provide administrative support for research projects and other research evaluation activities, process bank wire transfers, check the classification of accounts, and closely monitor supporting documents for accounting transactions.
- Project Promotion and External Relations
: Promote R&D-related activities and maintain relationships with funding agencies, universities, and other stakeholders.
- Accounting and Tax
: Review month-end accounting data related to research projects while ensuring compliance with the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Accounting Standards, and prepare supporting documents for year-end tax settlements.
- Other Duties
: Handle various contracts and manage official seals; perform other financial and accounting-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Must
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Relevant work experience and/or educational background required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing projects and ERP systems in universities, research institutes, or companies.
- Strong ethics and reliability.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Plus
- Fluent communication and documentation skills in English and Korean
