About the Role:
A Research Assistant (Korean and English) is responsible in performing web-based research on technology driven corporations and institutions and in validating and quality-assuring patent data by assigning patents to their accurate commercial owners.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth internet research to achieve data quality in patents globally with additional focus on identifying, understanding, and accurately processing Korean documents/ information.
  • Identify patent ownership based on extensive research on corporate structure, M&A, Spin-offs, company name changes, and patent transactions.
  • Meet or exceed productivity targets that are based on efficiency (Target of processing time per customer may vary depending on the type of process and portfolio size)
  • Identify future process improvements to further improve team or individual performance.
  • Effective communication.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • A third language skill (Japanese) is preferred.
  • Previous research work experiences are Preferred.
  • Korean Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and speak in Korean.
  • Excellent analytical Skills: Ability to approach a problem by using logical, systematic, sequential approach.
  • Excellent English Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office programs.
