What Depot and Logistics Services department does at Worldwide
The increasingly complex clinical trials Worldwide supports may require the importation and/or exportation of investigational products, comparator products, diagnostic devices, ePRO devices, biologic samples, and other ancillary supplies worldwide.
The Depot and Logistics Services coordinates with vendors, project teams, sponsors, and competent authorities to ensure that assigned projects have an initial and ongoing Supply Chain and Logistics Strategy. Depot and Logistics Services is also responsible for the labeling and storage of products, transportation of clinical trials supplies, and the documents for obtaining import/export authorizations.
What you will do
Provide guidance to project teams and suppliers on import/export activities (e.g. import/export requirements, recommendations for selecting transportation conditions and carriers, estimating shipping and customs clearance timelines/costs, possible risks/extra expenses)
Obtain import/export permissions associated with logistics activities
Preparation of documents required for customs clearance of import/export shipments
Track the obtained import/export permissions: their location, validity period, and remaining quotas if applicable
What you will bring to the role
High level of responsibility and accountability in all tasks
Communication skills
Ability to effectively perform in demanding situations
Proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with relevant software and application (MS Office)
Your experience
At least 2 years experience in logistics activities, including import and export operations or 2 years experience in clinical trials. Relevant experience within the company is considered
Higher education
English language: Intermediate written and spoken
