As the Sourcing Manager for Site Operations Asia, you will support the indirect sourcing needs of our sites, focusing on facilities management, maintenance services, waste management, utilities, lab/office supplies, equipment maintenance, and minor investment projects. This role involves leading sourcing initiatives primarily in South Korea and throughout Asia, acting as a liaison between internal stakeholders, Procurement, and external suppliers. You will leverage category management and strategic sourcing best practices to drive cost savings, demand management, risk reduction, and supplier innovation.
Who You Are
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives with internal business partners for specific functional areas
- Ensure implementation of strategies in a coordinated way across sites in the Asian region
- Gather and analyze spend in related areas within your region and derive sourcing strategies and initiatives
- Build and manage internal stakeholder relationships and satisfaction for critical categories, understanding business requirements as input into enterprise-wide sourcing efforts
- Proven experience in supporting change across a multi-location environment and multicultural teams, including cross-functional team facilitation
- Lead supplier selection and recommendation activities including qualitative and quantitative analysis, selection criteria, long and short lists, RFI and RFP/RFQ development and analysis
- Oversee high level risk management activities and gain risk management expertise for respective category areas
- Maintain external/internal marketplace awareness, related to trends within responsibility scope and sourcing best practices
- Manage key relationships with suppliers to ensure the realization of value.
- Establish KPIs, customizing as appropriate for highest complexity categories
- Foster teamwork and positive employee relations through regular open communications, problem solving, role modeling and management of relationships
- Support the development and enhancement of working relationships and communication processes among stakeholders and global Procurement network
Your Role
- Bachelor's degree or more.
- Minimum of 5 years in strategic sourcing/category management or a related field.
- Experience in cross-functional sourcing projects and contract negotiation, preferably related to facilities management, maintenance, MRO(Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), and/or production consumables.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communicator with persuasive collaboration abilities.
- Proven strategy development experience.
- Proficient in both Korean and English.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% annually is required.
