Position summary:
This position is responsible for both daily execution and strategic oversight of supply chain operations, including PO management, master data governance, intercompany coordination, and cross-functional alignment. The role plays a critical part in supporting regional and global supply planning and commercial execution by ensuring traceable, compliant, and optimized supply flows across business units. The ideal candidate brings strong ownership, analytical acumen, and a proactive mindset to drive operational performance in a highly regulated medical device environment.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
PO Management (30%)
- Place regular and ad-hoc purchase orders in accordance with planning requests and planning cycles
- Ensure timely and accurate PO issuance by considering overall inventory status in alignment with forecasted demand and supply planning timelines
- Oversee order accuracy, compliance, and inventory optimization to achieve target service levels and minimize E&O risk
- Support continuous improvement of PO processes, including automation initiatives and supplier performance monitoring
- Distribute shipping instructions and documentation (e.g., schedules, Excel files) to internal stakeholders
Order Tracking & Fulfillment (25%)
- Own E2E fulfillment visibility from PO confirmation to invoicing, ensuring traceability and compliance
- Proactively support fulfillment risks including backorders, urgent case support, or MFG issues requiring exception handling
- Coordinate timely delivery of critical SKUs (e.g., surgical devices, disposables) by managing escalations and working with regional team
- Define root cause analysis for backorders, expedite delays, or discrepancies, and implement preventive measures
- Support operational processes related to service parts, including PO creation, delivery coordination, and issue resolution
Internal/External Collaboration & Communication (15%)
- Collaborate with IBP, IOM, commercial, operations, QA/RA, and finance teams to balance demand commitments, inventory exposure, and regulatory constraints
- Communicate ATP and visibility to commercial and customers, ensuring transparency for OR scheduling and customer planning
- Fulfill customer manufacturing date requirements by aligning supply activities with downstream commercial and operational needs
- Share relevant shipping documents and manufacturing CI information with internal functions in a timely and accurate manner
Item/Supplier Data Management (10%)
- Maintain and update item master records using standardized Excel templates
- Coordinate cross-functional reviews for new item launches or discontinuations, ensuring MRP alignment and lifecycle tracking
- Perform supplier code creation and stocking type maintenance in ERP (e.g., JDE)
Intercompany Operations (10%)
- Supoort intercompany sales and Move-it opportunities in alignment with business needs
- Prepare and manage shipment documentation to support timely and compliant intercompany transfers
Reporting & Regular Meeting Preparation (10%)
- Prepare and present data-driven insights for commercial alignment and global supply review meetings
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities, including root cause analysis and cross-functional coordination efforts
- Track key supply KPIs and escalate potential risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Maintain and distribute standardized reporting templates to ensure consistency across business units.
- Maintain reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel templates) and drive reporting standardization and automation
Education & special trainings:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, international trade, logistics, or a closely related discipline
- Preferred qualifications include certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS or equivalent)
- Knowledge of global trade operations, particularly import/export processes in the medical device sector
Qualifications & experience:
- 3years or less of relevant experience in supply chain operations, preferably multicultural organizations
- Demonstrated expertise in order management, fulfillment, and related functions
- Proficient in ERP systems such as JDE or Oracle, along with strong command of Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in both Korean and English; additional language proficiency is considered a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
