Position Summary
The Clinical Marketing Manager will lead the strategic expansion of da Vinci® surgery across Korea, with a focus on on-going adoption and procedural penetration in multiple clinical specialties. This role serves as a key leader in the marketing organization, responsible for mid-to-long-term strategy development, clinical marketing execution, and direct team management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Korean healthcare environment, extensive experience in both sales and marketing, and a proven track record of leadership in the medical device industry.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the overarching strategy for clinical adoption and growth of da Vinci® surgery in Korea, aligning with ISK and global business objectives.
- Define and drive mid-to-long term strategic roadmaps across target specialties.
- Build structured execution frameworks to ensure scalable, measurable clinical marketing programs.
Team Management
- Manage, coach, and grow a team of clinical marketers and coordinators.
- Serve as a role model and people leader by fostering professional development, collaboration, and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and align individual growth plans with organizational needs.
Procedure & Clinical Adoption Strategy
- Design and execute strategic procedure marketing plans to expand adoption in multiple surgical specialties – General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Thoracic, H&N, etc
- Translate the da Vinci value into quantified impact, Reference Site expansion, and Surgeon Leadership Development into executable programs.
- Align closely with Sales, Training, and Medical Affairs for cross-functional impact and consistent field messaging.
Medical Society Engagement
- Represent Intuitive at key national and local medical society events and robotics symposia.
- Drive consensus-building among key opinion leaders and emerging robotic users.
- Oversee tactical execution, including booth setup, faculty coordination, and post-event ROI analysis.
Content & Education Development
- Supervise development of procedure-specific marketing materials, educational content, and peer-to-peer engagement tools.
- Coordinate webinars, live surgeries, and digital learning formats to amplify surgeon engagement and education.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of a university / MBA perferred
- Minimum 10 years of combined experience in Sales and/or Marketing in the medical device industry, with strong exposure to hospital systems and healthcare reimbursement structures.
- Proven leadership experience, including team management and organizational influence.
- Solid understanding of surgical workflows and minimally invasive techniques.
- Experience working with or in operating rooms, with physicians or KOLs.
- Fluent in Korean and English, both written and verbal.
- Strong project management and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across functions and lead complex initiatives.
- Ability to travel 30–40%, including weekends for key events or faculty visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at Intuitive Surgical or in lap-surgery marketing.
- Experience working with Korean healthcare policy, academic societies, and digital healthcare platforms.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), data analytics, and content management systems.
