Main Responsibilities:
As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Korean market, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and promote the bank's products and services.
- Analyze clients’ financial needs and propose personalized strategies to optimize their banking experience.
- Drive Corporate Lending and Cross-selling opportunities to develop meaning banking relationships with customers
- Oversee the credit process, including risk assessment, preparation of credit files, and negotiation of terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams (risk, compliance, operation, legal, products line) to ensure optimal customer service and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular and proactive follow-ups with clients to ensure their satisfaction and foster loyalty.
- Participate in networking events and represent the institution at conferences and seminars related to the Korean market.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong experience in client relationship management, with a results-oriented approach.
- Good understanding of banking products (loan, trade, global market, treasury products) and transaction processes.
- Analytical and synthesis skills to assess clients' financial needs and potential solutions.
- Risk management skills and knowledge of banking regulations, specifically in the Korean market.
- Ability to work in a team while being autonomous.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in the banking sector, with proven expertise in the Korean market.
- Degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Korean and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within an international financial institution.
