Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all active productions in Seoul, ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule. Serve as the primary escalation point for VFX project issues.
- Analyze cost report metrics and title schedules, offering data driven recommendations to improve efficiency and ensure on-time delivery.
- Guide resource allocation and title prioritization across all active projects in Seoul.
- Supervise and mentor regional production staff, providing training and fostering company culture.
- Guide the technology training team to develop curricula that advance artist skills and support adoption of generative workflows.
- Liaise with Netflix APAC (excluding India) to align business objectives with production goals. Partner with internal and external teams to support diverse projects.
- Collaborate with global VFX Production leaders to maintain consistent standards and efficiency across regions. Identify workflow gaps and automation opportunities; work with technical teams to implement effective solutions.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in VFX production management roles, ideally within a studio or VFX production company, with proven leadership of large teams (50+ people).
- Thorough understanding of production and post production processes, and the knowledge of the broader Korean film business ecosystem.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and resource management skills, with a track record of overseeing multiple complex project schedules.
- Excellent bi-lingual (written and verbal) communication skills, with experience collaborating effectively across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem solving abilities; able to make proactive decisions and drive continuous improvement under pressure.
- People oriented leader, adept at mentoring, fostering teamwork, and building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
