Coupang is leading innovation across IT and operations through continuous investment in large-scale infrastructure and fulfillment. As the company continues to grow, it has reached a critical point where it must establish new standards for how capital expenditures (Capex) are planned, executed, and systematically managed. At the heart of this transformation is the Capex Finance team.
As Capex Process & Strategy Manager, you will lead the design and implementation of Capex processes, systems, and governance structures. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable tools and frameworks that support strategic investment decisions and operational excellence.
In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, this role provides a unique opportunity to directly support Coupang's physical growth and operational efficiency, and to help build a world-class Capex operating Process.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and operate CapEx-related processes and controls to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with FP&A to enhance the accuracy of CapEx planning through data analysis and reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of CapEx-related policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Build, configure, and maintain CapEx management systems such as Anaplan, while leading the implementation of new tools.
- Establish key performance indicators for CapEx and implement tracking mechanisms to improve execution.
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to drive effective capital investment execution.
- Oversee governance and compliance across CapEx activities, supporting audits and risk assessments.
- Identify user needs and deliver training and support for CapEx-related systems and processes.
Who We're Looking For
- Fluent in Korean and English (required for global collaboration).
- Proven experience in process development and improvement.
- Project management experience (PMO or system implementation preferred).
- Skilled in policy documentation and process standardization.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse teams.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, approval workflows, and budget management tools.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and experience in finance-related roles.
- Hands-on experience in designing and operating Capex or finance/accounting processes (preferred).
- Experience working with developers, data analysts, or business analysts to deliver project outcomes(preferred).
- Experience in a matrix organization or global business environment (preferred)

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
- A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the "Company"), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
