Junior Product Manager (MAKEUP)
1. Marketing strategy
- Responsible for PREMIUM MAKEUP products’ annual revenue and promotion under management.
- Prepare a Marketing strategy in line with the company’s objectives to achieve the sales target and increase brand awareness.
- Plan, develop and execute accordingly yearly marketing plan, and promotion plan through new product launches as well as the ongoing support of basic business.
- Enhance and sustain the Guerlain image both corporate products and specific via aesthetic promotions in line with guideline, philosophy and worldwide image.
2. Marketing Mix
- Monitor, survey, define, and update continuously the marketing mix of MAKEUP categories, their positioning versus our competitors’ and market trends regarding the products, the consumers, the price, the distribution, the promotion, and the communication.
3. Budget
- Responsible for meeting the sales growth and contribute to overall corporate profit through the control of budgeted marketing expenses.
- Prepare budget materials upon request from top management.
- Monitor and update Yearly / Monthly category plan and adjust if necessary.
4. Reporting
- Monthly report and other relevant report to communication with region & central team and Monthly & weekly report to the management
- Provide product dashboard to all related parties if necessary
- Campaign analysis report to region and marketing director to evaluation of New product performance
Job responsibilities
1. MARKETING STRATEGY
Planning :
- Plan and set up makeup annual ambitions and key objectives along with Guerlain objectives.
- Analyze current challenges and share the insight for further planning with related parties and set the priority with strategic action plan for each product's performance
- Prepare the 360 plans to maximize the potential sales of all new product launches. After the new launch, analyze the sales results and the reaction from the market, communicate within the Marketing team, provide recommendations, if necessary.
- Closely work with Communication team to plan annual promotional event to support product performance (beauty class / POS event etc.)
- Plan annual sampling strategies, key pillar products performance and set up the annual support plan to establish ICON products.
Plan execution :
- Interface with registration, import and Region / France to ensure that Marketing Plan will be fulfilled within the schedule.
- Revise the Marketing plan, and justify with Marketing Manager, if necessary.
Market analysis :
- Actively monitor market trends and competitors’ activities to effectively identify customer needs and provide reports to in timely manner.
- Understand overall business trend via Beaute Research if necessary.
- Find out our challenges and share the insight for further planning with related departments.
Communication :
- Marketing strategy should be clearly communicated to all related parties to assist them in defining the yearly priorities in function and budget.
- Effectively communicates product plans and strategy with related parties to obtain required decisions, resources or management support.
Reporting :
- Monthly report and other report to communication with region & central team and Monthly & weekly report to the management.
- Provide product dashboard to all related parties if necessary.
- Campaign analysis report to region/marketing manager for new product evaluation.
2. MARKETING MIX
Product :
- Establish annual forecast by product, monitor the performance, highlight the products with poor performance providing solution.
- Monitors key performance indicators(revenue, market share, customer feedback) and other indicators.
Price : Monitor a competitors’ price list survey matching equivalent products and report any retail price increase. Propose feasibility of the suggestions by HQ, if necessary.
Materials : Set up the key concept/strengths for each product for all communication channels
3. BUDGET
Sales Forecast :
- Propose a yearly sales target for each product, for the basic business and the new products. Upon new launch, prepare a sales target and monitor actual sales and communicate the necessary revision.
- Study the stock inventory, highlight the abnormal overstock positions.
Expenses :
- Make sure yearly category & A&P budget by action in terms of menu and local expenditure is adhered to.
Profile
- Education: University graduate and/or up
- Years of experience: 3 years~5 years
- Experience: At least 1 or 2 years of experience in makeup product management at the cosmetic and/or high-luxury brands.
- Language: Fluent in both Korean and English
- Computer skill proficiency: MS PPT, Excel, Word
