[Medical Science Liaison Immunology recruiting]
We are looking for Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who is a field-based Medical Affairs professional who acts as a key scientific partner to healthcare providers, medical professional associations, decision-makers, and internal UCB colleagues in South Korea. The MSL engages in peer-to-peer scientific discussions relative to the assigned asset and therapeutic area throughout the product’s lifecycle, while collecting and sharing critical insights that inform business strategies and product development. This role is responsible for supporting executing key medical strategies aimed at improving patient care, access, and outcomes. The MSL reports to the Medical Strategy Lead and serves as the local medical representative and scientific expert within a cross-functional team.

What you’ll do
- Support the Medical Strategy Lead in developing and managing customer relationships, including identifying key stakeholders, effective engagement, and efficient territory management.
- Supports market access from a scientific perspective through scientific exchange with payors, hospital pharmacists, and other stakeholders
- Maximizes site performance and supports clinical trials, non-interventional studies, and other RWE initiatives by collecting and communicating medical and scientific knowledge
- Maintains and leverages up-to-date expertise in the therapeutic area—including scientific, clinical, disease state, and treatment alternatives knowledge—to support the tactical execution of the territory plan in alignment with key UCB medical strategies, within the context of the patient journey
- Demonstrates scientific and medical expertise by contributing to major medical and scientific congresses, advisory boards, and clinical investigator meetings
- Collaborates and communicates cross-functionally with field-level counterparts from Sales and Market Access to translate customer insights into actionable strategies that deliver sustainable and superior value to customers
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
Experience
- Advanced scientific background preferred (e.g., PharmD, PhD in Natural Sciences)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or scientific role is required
- Relevant therapeutic and clinical experience is strongly preferred (e.g., specialty care, immunology, rheumatology)
- Basic understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
- Customer-focused and patient-centric mindset
Skills
- Proactive mindset and supportive attitude in managing field-based activities
- Strong skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving
- Excellent interpersonal and networking abilities, with a proven capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Clear and confident communication and presentation skills, including fluency in English
- Ability to clearly communicate complex scientific and clinical data in both one-on-one and group settings
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
